How to export your Robinhood trades

The file you get

A .csv with the columns Activity Date, Process Date, Settle Date, Instrument, Description, Trans Code, Quantity, Price and Amount.

Steps

1. In Robinhood, open your account, go to Reports and statements and choose Account activity report.
2. Select Generate new report, pick the account and the whole period (from your first purchase) and select Generate report.
3. Robinhood tells you when it is ready (usually about 2 hours, up to 24); download it from Reports.

Where to upload it

In the field 'Your platform report', as it is.

Before you upload

• Options count 100 shares a contract; an option that expires, is assigned or is exercised closes at no premium.
• Deposits, dividends, interest and fees are not trades and are not counted as such.
• Sales of shares bought before the file's first date, or transferred in from another broker, are left out and the report says so: pick the period from your first purchase.
• The report does not include Robinhood futures or crypto.
